8th International Fair of Public Transport TRANSEXPODate of next exhibition: 6-8 October, 2010
The International Fair of Local Public Transport TRANSEXPO is indisputably the largest event of this kind in Poland as well as in this part of Europe. Each year, TRANSEXPO brings together leading companies operating in this sector, with its range of exhibits encompassing the best-selling and newly launched products, in addition to providing the venue for international unveilings. And the year 2010 seems to be extremely interesting in this regard. Pay a visit to Targi Kielce on 6-8th October 2010.Urban transport vehicles, commuter and long-distance buses, tourist coaches, special and commercial vehicles, spare parts and auxiliary equipment constitute only part of what will be put on display at the Fair in Kielce. The same as in previous years, leading companies operating in this industry will show high-tech vehicles offering the highest standards, comfortable driving and, most importantly, passenger safety. Among the products exhibited in the pavilions of Targi Kielce will be passenger transport vehicles, accessories and infrastructure.
Although the annually held TRANSEXPO fair features the most interesting, best selling and new products available on the market, it, first and foremost, is the place where the international launches are held. The interesting year 2010 will see many events of this kind, indeed. In early June, the vehicle fleet of the travel agency Funclub in Poznań was extended to include two coaches Van Hool TD927 Astromega. These are the first Belgian coaches on the Polish market. However, Funclub is not going to be content with the purchase itself, and as early as in October, at the TRASEXPO fair, it will officially open an agency of the Belgian producer in our country. A network of maintenance and service shops has been scheduled to be developed simultaneously.
The Chinese producer of Yutong coaches is really accelerating in Europe, with a contract for 202 double-deckers to be delivered to Skopje, as well as with its agency to be officially established at TRANSEXPO in October. At Targi Kielce Yutong will present 3 coaches: long-distance Yutong Smile, tourism Yutong Vision, and low-floor Yutong Touch. The agency's activity is to based on three centres, offering the four main models of the Yutong coaches and planning to open a 24h service shop as soon as possible. A new product offered by Mercedes-Benz is Tourismo M2. The new 13-metre-long Tourismo will be shown to Polish customers for the first time at TRANSEXPO. This vehicle, with its spacious interior and a luggage compartment of 12m³, offers passengers higher travel comfort. Its seating capacity amounts to as many as 57 persons. In addition to that, the ergonomic solutions and reliability of the M2 version are as high as those offered by Tourismo 15 RHD. The vehicle, among other things, is equipped with the engines EURO5 and EEV, PowerShift and manual gearboxes, various types of the luxury seats Mercedes-Benz, a whole spectrum of upholstery options, as well as many other features which will enable the user to adjust his Tourismo M2 to individual needs and requirements. The standard model of this vehicle is equipped with the high-shine wheel rims made of light alloys ALCOA. It is worth mentioning that beginning from February 2011, all the new Tourismo coaches delivered to Poland will be equipped with high-tech seats Mercedes-Benz.
The same as in previous years, the day before the opening of the Fair, i.e. on 5th October 2010, a Technical Seminar of the Economic Chamber Local Public Transport will be held, with its motto this year being "The Bus of the Future”. The range of subjects to be addressed at this meeting includes legal and technical matters, the public transport industry as a community, and technology.TRANSEXPO annually attracts an increased number of exhibitors as well as visitors and industry professionals. Last year it was visited by almost 4,000 people. In 2006 this fair was honoured with a European Medal for Services. TRANSEXPO also enjoys accreditation issued by the Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry.
The fair is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Infrastructure; Marshall of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodship, Adam Jarubas; Świętokrzyskie Voivode, Bożentyna Pałka – Koruba, as well as the Mayor of Kielce, Wojciech Lubawski.
