The event once again brought together road industry companies and business-insiders. Not the expos go down in history. Following many-year tradition, the expo halls are the showcase for the latest construction machines, aggregates supply vehicles and reinforcing structures to mention just a few examples. This year the expo centre hosted the largest Polish and foreign companies' representatives. The products were put on display by, inter alia, KH-KIPPER, SCANIA, DAFF, IVECO, LOTOS, LIUGONG DRESSTA MACHINERY.
In addition to the impressive machines' size and capabilities, Targi Kielce also featured the equipment used by road management and refurbishment companies for minor day-to-day service. Electric hammers, mini asphalt grinders or small excavators, though overshadowed with gigantic machines still generated interest.
The event's importance and significance can also be demonstrated with the number of conferences and guests who took part in the discussion panels. "The Polish way to prosperity" with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Construction - Marek Chodkiewicz, organised by the WPROST weekly was one of the most important debates. The conference focussed on the Polish roads state and road repairs and renovations funds. Iwona Stępień-Kotlarek, Deputy Director General for National Roads and Highways spoke about risky contracts and potential threats for subcontractors; therefeore difficult topics were not avoided.
The report on road companies conclusions were presented at the meeting "Road companies - condition, investments, risks and prospects" meeting. The meeting was organised by the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Road Construction Industry in cooperation with Arcata Partners. The report indicates that the recent years have seen the dynamic changes period in the industry. Their growth sources and significance were emphasised by the report authors. The road report includes an updated forecast of the road construction market by 2025.
The event abounded with specialised conferences - "Road and rail infrastructure. Past, Present, Future", "Modern diagnostics and road surfaces repairs", "Technical safety of construction equipment and vehicles". These were the invaluable information source and the chance to establish business relations.
The expo abounds with the dynamic show-presentations. The Competition for Construction Machines Operators - BIG BAU MASTER was the test-bed for experienced machine operators. Following last years' example, the "Live Services" Tire Repair at the Tire Review's expo stand was also there. The expo stand of the Tire Review editorial team was the stage for live demonstrations - tyres change in large trucks and construction machines of ORT type.
Active and prospective machine operators had the chance to test their skills with the use of special construction machines simulators. Under the Institute of Mechanized Construction and Rock Mining representatives' even those inexperienced had the chance to see how it feels to be an excavator operator.
