Never before have we enjoyed such a great attendance. Agrotech staged from 27 to 29 March attracted 61 556 people! Thus the Kielce International Fair of Agricultural Techniques has again proven to be one of Poland's two most popular fairs as fair as the number of participants is concerned.
The Kielce exhibition was staged for 21st time; the Agrotech 2015 has broken its own records in other areas too. For the first time the amount of the exhibition space leased has exceeded 60 thousand square meters, the AGROTECH exhibitors' list combined with the LAS-EXPO exhibitors included 700 exhibitors from Poland, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Slovenia, Ukraine, France, Britain, the Netherlands, Austria, Ireland, Finland and the Czech Republic. The companies put on show hundreds of high-tech tractors, harvesters, combines and machines. This year's exhibition has utilised the whole Targi Kielce's area.
Thus the special tent-pavilions of the total area of 16 thousand square meters have been erected in the exhibition centre. And among them there has been a really gargantuan hall. Never before have we had such a hall in Europe. This has been the construction of 7 thousand square metres, this is 1.5 thousand square metres more than in Targi Kielce's largest exhibition hall, i.e. the E pavilion.
The AGROTECH hosted the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Marek Sawicki; not only did he make a tour over the exhibition, but also attended the awarding ceremony and presented the exhibitors with distinctions. The ceremony programme also included presentations of "Meritorious for Agriculture" distinctions, the Agricultural Machine of the Year statuettes, the prizes of the Science and Technology Association of Agriculture Technicians and Engineers, KRUS [Farmers' Social Security Fund] Safety Emblems, the National Council of Agricultural Chambers' Cup. Czeslaw Siekierski PhD - European Parliament MP and the Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development also presented his accolades. These have also been Targi Kielce's medals and distinctions awarded to the best products put on how at the 15, jubilee LAS-EXPO. Expo stands gained extra splendour with a number of official delegations representing most important institutions from home and abroad. Targi Kielce also hosted Mr. Jean Pierre Senghor, the National Coordinator of the Government of Senegal PRODAC Programme.
Among the expo highlights there was, inter alia, Ursus première featuring the new unveiling of a legendary tractor. The CASE IH stand was the showcase fro the CVX 380 Magnum - the award-winning tractor which boast the Tractor of the Year 2015 title. AGROTECH hosted also Martin Obałek, the originator of the Traktoriada campaign; he himself has covered 20.000 km driving a tractor. The expedition started in 2002, until now there have been 6 stages. Ursus covered nearly 20 000 km riding along roads, through meadows, fields and wastelands in Uruguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Peru. In winter the tractor sets off for another trip - this time to India. The stretch will be covered "on wheels". Targi Kielce was also the stage for the consecutive finals of the Young Agricultural Producers Olympics.
The next edition of AGROTECH and LAS-EXPO exhibitions are to held from 18 to 20 March 2016. This autumn Targi Kielce welcomes to join the new expo event focussed on fruit and vegetable farming as well as inland fisheries.
